Center for Innovative Research and Creative Leading Education (CIRCLE)

Outline

This center was established in the Faculty of Engineering on March 16, 2006 as a center to vitalize the university and local communities through creative power. This is a core organization to execute the Imagineer cultivation, which is the philosophy of the Faculty of Engineering and the Graduate School of Engineering. The nickname for the Center is Creativity CIRCLE, which derives from the English name “Center for Innovative Research and Creative Leading Education."

The CIRCLE consists of three divisions: Creative Education that develops, implements, and disseminate engineering education fostering creative abilities; Machining Technology that supports advanced manufacturing focused on the latest machining tools to utilize technologies and skills for the education of students and local communities; and Regional Partnership that supports the formation of creative people's circle inside and outside the university.
