Outline of Electronics Properties Course

This course conducts research on the development of new electronic materials, semiconductor materials, electronic devices, and optical devices through the pursuit of basic knowledge in the fields of electronics engineering, semiconductor physics and solid state photo-physics. It mainly consists of the research fields of electronic materials, semiconductor surfaces and interfaces, electrical energy, quantum electronics, and optoelectronics.

Electronics Material Laboratory

Spectroscopic and applied research on terahertz waves. Application to dielectric physical property evaluation and trace amount detection.

Semiconductor surfaces and interfaces Laboratory

Two-dimensional evaluation of semiconductor physical properties, metal/semiconductor (electrode) interfaces, semiconductor/semiconductor (hetero) interfaces, research on new functional semiconductor devices. Application to crystal growth, electronic and optical device processes.

Electrical Energy Laboratory

Spectroscopic research on new energy science. Optical energy conversion, optical physical properties engineering.

Quantum Electronics Laboratory

Development of high-power, ultra-high-intensity lasers, utilization of laser energy, design and development of high-efficiency, high-power lasers for space solar power generation, and design and development of nuclear fusion lasers.

Optoelectronics Laboratory

Development and applied research on optical/quantum electronics, solid-state lasers, and ultrashort pulse laser oscillators/amplifiers.
