Mechanical Design Engineering

Outline

The research activities of the mechanical design engineering course are mainly divided into three engineering fields, and its objective is to produce well-skilled engineers that realize safe and sustainable manufacturing for a comfortable social life in harmony with the environments from both a hardware and software viewpoint.

In the field of thermo-fluid systems, education and research focus on the characteristics and transfer phenomena of thermal energy, the characteristics of fluids and their flow as a medium for transporting energy, and equipment for converting thermal and fluid energy for the effective utilization.

The research groups in the field of systems and control engineering are committed with cutting-edge research and education on dynamic analysis and design of mechanical systems, measurement and control technologies for operating systems at optimal conditions, and mechatronics for innovative systems by smart integration of technologies in multiple fields.

Division of Engineering Priority Research, education and research focus on strength design and fracture assessment methods for equipment and structures to realize a safe and secure society.
